Hard Quiz tops entertainment; Seven wins Wednesday

ABC’s Hard Quiz topped entertainment on Wednesday, however, it was Seven that celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to 520,000 metro viewers, while Seven News won key advertising demos, 16-39, and Seven’s 6:30 news program topped key advertising demos 18-49 and 25-54s.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for Wednesday 26 October, The Block was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.478 million viewers, including 235,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 34%. ABC’s Fisk has the biggest uplift of the week at 59%.

Looking back at Wednesday’s overnights, Fisk on ABC was next, which aired to an average metro audience of 484,000, followed by The Chase Australia on Seven, which aired to an average of 472,000.

Kitchen Nightmares on Seven was next with an average metro audience of 469,000, while Home and Away aired to 465,000 metro views.

Next up was an episode of Question Everything on ABC which had an average metro audience of 437,000, followed by a repeat of Travel Guides on Nine which brought in 416,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Seven News at 6:30 won overall TV viewing on Wednesday night with 889,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 880,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 had 733,000 metro viewers. Nine News brought in 687,000. ABC News pulled in 602,000 viewers. A Current Affair pulled in 578,000 metro views.

As mentioned, Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.3% over Nine’s 27.7%, while the ABC had a share of 18.8%, and Ten had a share of 14.6%.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Wednesday was 7TWO with a share of 3.7%.
