Havas Media appointed media agency of record for TK Maxx

TK Maxx has named Havas Media as its media agency of record, with the discount retailer making the decision after a competitive pitch process.

Havas Media will provide a full range of media services for TK Maxx as it continues to grow its presence in Australia, including strategy, planning, buying, optimisation, reporting and analytics.

As media agency of record, Havas will also draw on its team of specialists in supporting client decision-making, and lend its expertise and access to data and insights.

TK Maxx Australia’s VP, marketing director, Tony Dunseath, said Havas Media shared the retailer’s ambition for the future of the brand.

“Havas Media presented a compelling approach to supporting our marketing and business objectives and share our ambition for where we’d like to take the brand moving forward,” he said.

“They have a breadth of expertise across fashion and retail and we are looking forward to partnering with them as we move into an exciting stage of our marketing plans.”

Havas Media has already commenced work on the account, and will play a key role in the marketing activity for the brand ahead of busy retail periods.

Virginia Hyland, who was appointed Havas Media CEO in late 2020, said her agency will work to highlight the TK Maxx unique point of difference.

“TK Maxx has made a big impression on the market since its launch and we’re delighted to partner with them to support their next phase of growth as they continue to highlight their unique point of difference to capture the interest of shoppers.

“Our goal is to ensure that every dollar invested is focused on delivering growth by carefully working with meaningful media channels.”

This latest account win follows Havas Media being appointed as the media agency partner of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) earlier this month.
