Have You Been Paying Attention? returns to 732,000 metro viewers

The launch of Have You Been Paying Attention? (HYBPA) season nine was a welcome addition for Ten on Monday night, as 732,000 metro viewers tuned into the Working Dog-produced quiz show.

The program – hosted by Tom Gleisner and starring Ed Kavalee, Sam Pang and a rotating roster of comedians and media personalities – was the second-best non-news program on Monday night, behind Lego Masters and its 769,000 metro viewers.

HYBPA also won all three key advertising demos, and along with MasterChef Australia (607,000 metro viewers) helped Ten to a healthy 23.3% network share for the evening, with MasterChef’s national audience also its biggest since launch.

But Nine was the overall winner with 26.9%, while Seven took a 25.9% share. The aforementioned Lego Masters was the #5 program overall for the evening.

Seven’s primetime offering of Big Brother was the lowest rating primetime offering among the 3 commercial networks, watched by 552,000 metro viewers on Monday, putting it level with fellow Seven production The Chase Australia.

The network did take the top rating program overall on Monday, with Seven News pulling in 1.042 million metro viewers, ahead of the 1.033 million who watched Nine News.

Meanwhile, Ten also laid claim to the #1 multi-channel share of the evening, with 10 BOLD taking 4.0%.
