Partnerize Clients Hawaiian Airlines and SurfStitch Announce Sales Partnership in Australia

Hawaiian Airlines and SurfStitch to drive cost-effective customer acquisition via cross-promotion of products and services.

Partnerize, the leading provider of partner marketing software for global brands, today announced that its clients Hawaiian Airlines and leading retailer SurfStitch have formed a business-building partnership to drive cost effective customer acquisition for their respective businesses. Under the partnership, the two brands plan to cross-promote products to each customer base, and to develop a shared database of customers for strategic marketing.

As part of its efforts to enable clients to capitalize on performance partnerships that drive business growth, Partnerize facilitated the introduction between the SurfStitch and Hawaiian Airlines’ marketing teams. Both brands are focused on driving cost effective customer acquisition and are aiming to expand their reach beyond traditional affiliate partners. Partnership sales activity and conversion data will be tracked and managed with the Partnerize Partner Marketing Platform (PMP).

“It was clear from the beginning that there were good synergies between SurfStitch and Hawaiian Airlines,” said Dane Patterson of SurfStitch. “Our customer bases have many similarities, not least a passion for the outdoors and a casual beach lifestyle. Working together offers a great opportunity for each of us to reach more of the kind of people that propel our businesses, whilst also providing increased value to our customer base through delivery of bespoke offers and deals from Hawaiian Airlines.”

“We jumped at the opportunity to explore customer acquisition with SurfStitch,” said Karen MacMillan, Director of Sales AU and Partnerships AU/NZ at Hawaiian Airlines. “As Australia’s number one online surf and fashion retailer, their customer base and our target markets – travellers, outdoor adventurers, surfers heading to Hawaii, are already well aligned. Many of the products they offer are a natural fit with our brand, and we also share similar aims to inspire a greater share of Australia’s action sports, young families and youth culture segments,” she added.

To mark the start of the partnership, Hawaiian and SurfStitch launched a joint competition from July 1st – July 31st, 2018. In keeping with the theme of the partnership, the prize is a trip to Hawaii combined with a SurfStitch gift voucher to fill your suitcase with some of the most in-demand beach and surfwear.

“This exciting new strategic partnership between leading brands is more proof that the world of partnership is changing and growing,” said Mal Cowley, Cofounder and CEO of Partnerize. “The partnerships industry is expanding into new forms of sales and marketing alliances like strategic brand-to-brand partnerships as well as other arenas like influencer marketing. All of these classes of business opportunities are providing additional growth momentum on top of the sales increases we are seeing in affiliate marketing. Partnership is a truly massive business opportunity that is already helping brands drive extraordinary growth.”
