Haymarket sells major publications to Nextmedia
Haymarket Media is understood to have sold its major publications including iTnews, PC & Tech Authority and FourfourTwo to publisher Nextmedia.
The move further consolidates Nextmedia’s position as one of the major magazine publishers in Australia and comes after they purchased other titles, including Inside Sport, Golf Australia, Tracks and Australian Mountain Bike magazine, from Bauer in July.
It could also signal the exit of Haymarket from Australia.
The sale will expected to see 25 staff will move across to Nextmedia in mid December, reports PR trade press website Influencing.
At the time of publishing neither Haymarket nor Nextmedia had responded to requests for comment.

A Few problems here. Amongst them Inside Sport and Golf Australia have never been owned by Bauer.????

@ CLOSE OUT… I certainly didn’t mean to come across as condescending. More congratulatory of a magazine that must be close on 20 years old, still battles on in incredibly tough conditions and still manages to survive while all around it stutter and fail. I remember reading it in the early 90s and the fact that it’s still pressing on is a credit to both the editors you mention.
