Haymarket’s FourFourTwo tops magazine awards
Haymarket Media’s soccer title FourFourTwo dominated today’s Publishers Australia Excellence Awards, winning the key categories of integrated media brand of the year, website of the year and the overall excellence award.
Other winners included Lisa Holmes of Runners World being named editor of the year and Mark Hughes, of Selector and Sportal being named journalist of the year.
UBM Medica’s Medical Observer won relaunch of the year.
Go Hemmers…
442 is truly a great read every month and it is great that the integration efforts have been recognised. Can’t wait for the iPad version next month. Keep up the good work lads!
Congrats to FFT. Well deserved.
I read a lot of football blogs and over the last year FFT website has become a must check on my daily football news search. I would say they provide better and more timely coverage of A-League football news than TWG or Fox Sports.
No Turn out from Reed’s Trade arm, they must be doing it tough in Chatswood.
Hi anonymous,
I chatted to at least one of my former colleagues from Reed at the awards. However, it is fair to say that the company doesn’t particularly have a culture of entering the awards. I’d love to see that change at some point.
Cheers,

Cracking award program good to see an unaudited magazine winning the top gong..
Love the credibility
You can only be judged if you enter the ‘awards’?
Does that mean that if you do not enter the awards then your magazines are crap?
I know many beautiful people who would never enter a beauty pageant…
Just for the record, FourFourTwo is a fully audited website, which is more than many more mainstream autorefresh, autoplay-friendly websites can claim.
Hey Tim,
I do believe in the past, Reed had nearly a whole department geared towards entering the Awards.
Reed use to have nearly 50 staff attend – it was a thank you from Reed to the staff.
Cheers
‘I have just visited the ‘Publishers Australia’ website to review the 2010 awards and the latest news is dated; 03/11/2010…
Thank goodness for Mumbrella to notify us of the winning names. – Phew!!

P.S. 2009’s winners were listed on the PA website…
P.P.S
Which awards are more credible? The PA Awards or the Bell Awards?
