Haystac wins bookarestaurant.com PR account

Mitchell Communication’s Haystac has been awarded the PR account for online reservation system bookarestaurant.com.

The announcement:

Leading marketing communications agency Haystac, part of the Mitchell Communication Group, has been appointed as the official PR agency of bookarestaurant.com – a new online reservation system set to change the way Australian’s make restaurant bookings when it launches in early September.

Bookarestaurant.com will take real-time, instantly confirmed, online restaurant reservations for the Australian restaurant and hospitality industry – a feature available in the US for several years, but never before in Australia. Consumers can search for restaurants by cuisine type, price and location and see the actual, ‘real-time’ availability. Reservations can be made free of charge and can be made around the clock.

Haystac will embark on a national PR campaign to support the roll out of bookarestaurant.com commencing in Melbourne before extending to other states.

“PR will play an integral role in conveying the key features and benefits of the product to restaurants and consumers alike,” said Adam Clarke, General Manager of bookarestaurant.com.

“Haystac’s intrinsic knowledge of social media channels and the online space was of particular appeal given the nature of our product. We are excited to have Haystac on board to help us launch bookarestaurant.com,” said Mr Clarke.

Haystac will drive an editorial campaign across radio, print and television to drive traffic to the website. This will be supported by a social media campaign, state-based consumer promotions and a partnership program.
