Hobart’s Hit 100.9 announce new breakfast team, Jimmy & Nath

Southern Cross Austereo’s Hit network has announced Jimmy Smith and Nathan Roye as the new faces of breakfast for Hobart’s 100.9 FM

The duo, who are based in Sydney, will take over breakfast in Hobart from January 29.

Ally Bradley, SCA’s general manager in Hobart said the listeners will enjoy the duo’s “natural chemistry and engaging humour”.

“2018 brings a fresh sound to Hobart with the fantastic addition of Jimmy and Nath to the Hit 100.9 team,” Bradley said.

Smith said of his appointment: “I’m stoked to be moving to Hobart with my best mate (that’s Nath). I’ve always wanted to do the Sydney to Hobart.”

Roye joked he got a tattoo that reads ‘Hobart is home’ prior to being offer the job.

“We are stoked to have Hobartians waking up to us every morning! Believe me, it’s better than going to bed with us,” Roye said.

Smith and Roye replace Paul Hogan, who will join ARN’s 96FM in Perth next year.
