Holden launches ‘This is how we SUV’ campaign featuring a ‘Holden Heist’
Car manufacturer Holden has launched a new campaign for its range of SUV’s, titled ‘This is how we SUV’.
The one minute ad features a group of people stealing artwork from a formal function.
Holden’s campaign follows the escapades of the group as they go through a number of getaway cars to deliver the painting to another location.
The ad shows off a suite of Holden’s SUV models including the Trax, Equinox and Trailblazer.
Backed to Blondie’s One Way or Another, the ad aims to show the cars’ ability to fit through small gaps, reverse quickly and towing capabilities.
‘This is how we SUV’ is the tagline used at the conclusion of the ad.
The Monkeys won Holden’s SUV creative account in August 2017.
Meanwhile creative agency AJF Partnership still takes responsibility for the motor company’s retail creative account.
In December 2017, The Monkeys launched its first work for Holden using the ‘Nothing to Prove, Prove it’ tagline.
The Monkeys, AJF Partnership and Holden have been approached for comment.
Holden are dead set lost.

That ad is terrible. I’m confused as to what they are doing in the ad. Are they stealing the picture. Are they good guys or bad guys? Is the picture falling to the ground meant to be funny (because it’s not). Is the ‘caper’ angle meant to be jolly and amusing? (because it’s not). I’d be surprised if the marketing guy is still the marketing guy at the end of the year if this is the output. there’s nothing aspirational about the ad.
