Holler wins Audi digital review

Independent digital agency Holler has won a three-month pitch for German car maker Audi.

The appointment brings to an end Audi’s nine-year relationship with MassMedia Studios, which handled Audi’s digital marketing.

The announcement:

Audi has appointed Holler as its digital agency following a rigorous three-month pitch process.

The comprehensive market search, which kicked off in June 2012, was conducted by TrinityP3 on behalf of the luxury German carmaker’s Australian operations.

“Our ongoing growth in the digital space necessitated a fresh approach and Holler’s experienced team, strategic skills and impressive work makes them an ideal partner for us,” said Kevin Goult, Audi Australia’s General Manager Marketing.

Holler will work across all aspects of Audi’s digital needs, from October this year.

“We’re truly thrilled to have secured Audi’s digital creative account and are looking forward to working closely with the Audi team on forward-thinking projects befitting of the brand,” said Caitlin Millar-Jack, Managing Director of Holler.

The incumbent agency was MassMedia Studios, which held the business for more than nine years.

“Due to the dynamic growth of the Audi brand in Australia over this period, the needs of the business have changed dramatically. We’d like to thank MassMedia Studios for their strong support to Audi over the past nine years,” said Mr Goult.

MassMedia’s MD Adam Quirk has since issued the following statement:

Over the past nine years we’ve built and maintained Audi Australia’s core digital presence, including the brand portal, successive annual vehicle launch properties and a huge range of channel specific digital media assets. It’s always tough to part ways with a good client and Audi Australia has been a great client for MassMedia Studios. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the time we’ve spent working together. We wish Audi all the best in the future.”
