Home and Away pulls in 515,000 viewers for season finale

Seven’s soap opera Home & Away, which celebrated its 30-year anniversary in January, has attracted 515,000 metro viewers for this year’s season finale.

Just yesterday, Seven announced it would be releasing the entire 2018 season of Home and Away on its broadcast video on demand platform, 7Plus.

Home and Away managed 515,000 metro viewers

Airing at 7pm, Home and Away went head to head with Nine’s A Current Affair which managed 641,000 metro viewers, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Meanwhile, Ten’s How to Stay Married saw just 281,000 metro viewers tune in.

In the key advertising demographics RBT was the most watched program for 16-39 year olds while Nine News was the most popular show for the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.

In the news battle, Seven News was the most watched program of the evening with 881,000 tuning in compared to Nine News’ 850,000.

Nine won Thursday television with a 19.7% share ahead of Seven’s 17.3%, ABC’s 13.9%, Ten’s 8.4% and SBS’ 4.4%.

In multi-channel shares, 9GO! saw the biggest audience share with 4.2%.
