Home and Away wins entertainment for Seven as Nine takes overall share

Seven’s Home and Away topped entertainment viewing on Tuesday evening, however Nine managed to scrape out just 0.4% ahead for a win in overall share.

The episode brought in 458,000 metro viewers for Seven, with the network’s The Chase Australia coming in second for entertainment.

Back to Tuesday’s overnights, and Kitchen Nightmares Australia on Seven was next in entertainment, airing to an average metro audience of 416,000, followed by Nine’s My Mum Your Dad, which aired to an average of 414,000.

Ten’s The Cheap Seats brough in 343,000 metro viewers and also took out the 16-39 and 18-49 advertising demos. The ABC’s Stuff the British Stole followed with an average of 341,000 metro viewers, and Magda’s Big National Health Check, also on ABC, brough in an average of 330,000, while Hot Seat on Nine had 316,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News at 6:30 won overall TV viewing on Tuesday night with 861,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 822,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 had 708,000 metro viewers. Nine News brought in 702,000, A Current Affair on Nine pulled in 599,000 metro views and ABC News pulled in 547,000 viewers.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 27.8% over Seven’s 27.4%, while Ten has 19.0% and the ABC had a share of 18.3%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7Mate with a share of 4%.
