Horizon Communication Group scores hat trick of coveted international awards
Leading independent integrated communication agency, Horizon Communication Group, has been recognised for global excellence in public relations, receiving three major international awards: a Golden World Award from the International Public Relations Association and both a Gold and Silver ‘Stevie’ in the International Business Awards.
Both the Golden World Award and the Gold ‘Stevie’ recognised Horizon’s work on the NSW Environment Protection Authority Litter Tracking ‘Hey Tosser!’ PR Campaign. The initiative saw GPS-tracked bottles released into New South Wales waterways to highlight the impact of litter on the environment.
Following a year of innovative campaigns, Horizon also took home the Silver ‘Stevie’ for Public Relations Agency of the Year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The annual IPRA Golden World Awards (GWA) initiative, established in 1990, recognises excellence in public relations practice worldwide in a variety of categories. Meanwhile, the ‘Stevie’ International Business Awards celebrate achievements in a range of industries, with thousands of companies across the globe taking part.
Justin Flaherty, CEO of Horizon, said: “We are delighted to have been globally recognised for developing and delivering campaigns that make a real difference, both to our clients and, particularly in the case of the Hey Tosser campaign, to the wider community. The last year has been a huge success for Horizon and we’re working hard to ensure the next twelve months will be even brighter.”
