Hot Seat beats Deal as Nine scrapes in for Thursday win

Nine’s Hot Seat secured a ratings victory over Deal or No Deal last night following a tight battle between the pair all week.

The Eddie McGuire-hosted show was behind Seven’s Deal all week but only by small margins of 10,000 viewers. Last night it pulled in 610,000 while Deal was behind on 594,000, according to preliminary results from OzTam.

Monday night’s show saw a Queensland doctor be the second contestant in the show’s history to be asked the one million dollar question but answered incorrectly and walked away with only $1,000.

The last time Hot Seat overtook Deal was on August 20.

In what was a quiet night for TV, Nine walked away with a win of 28.7 per cent just ahead of Seven with 26.7 per cent share. Ten came in third with 20.7% but saw one of the lowest audiences for The 7pm Project with just 610,000. Glee was also down for Ten but only slightly, bringing in 7,000 viewers less than last week with 960,000.
