Hoyts has for the first time appointed a chief digital and marketing officer for Australia and New Zealand.
Crispin Tristram joins the cinema and film distribution company after 15 year in marketing and management roles at Singtel, Optus, Orange and O2.
Tristram will be responsible for marketing activities across Hoyts’ cinema and distribution business units, and the day-to-day operation of Oovie DVD kiosk including marketing and digital initiatives across the group.
Tristram will report to CEO Delfin Fernandez, who said: “Crispin’s appointment demonstrates the convergence of entertainment and technology. His marketing experience will significantly bolster our capabilities as Hoyts embraces its digital future.”
On his appointment, Tristram said: “I am delighted to join one of Australia’s most innovative entertainment organisations. Hoyts has set the standard for more than a century and I’m excited to be a part of its next chapter.”
