Hungry Jack’s creates ‘cheer bot’ to reward loudest cheering fans for NRL finals

Burger chain Hungry Jack’s has launched a new campaign centred around a ‘cheer bot’, which will reward the loudest cheering fans with a free Aussie Whopper.

The device is set to be toured around matches this weekend heading up to the Grand Final next weekend, as a promotional stunt for the new burger.

The website for the two-wheeled device reads:

Specially designed and scientifically proven to drive towards the loudest supporter to deliver them all  the delicious eggy, beetrooty goodness of the Aussie Whopper.

Why have we blatantly wasted some of Australia’s best scientific  minds to do this? Because as Official Supporter of the supporters, we want to thanks those Aussies who proudly sacrifice their vocal chords in the name of competition. Cheer on, Australia..”

The device was also ‘demonstrated’ in a segment on The Footy Show on Channel Nine on Thursday night.

The brand has also launched a competition to find the loudest cheering fans, with a post on its Facebook page challenging people to prove why they deserve to win tickets to the NRL Footy Show Grand Final next week.
