Influencer marketing platform Hypetap has appointed Chris Morfis to the role of general manager.
Morfis joins the agency from his previous stint at advertising blog community Nuffnang Australia, where he was the managing director for over a year.

Morfis will start the role in January and will be based in the Melbourne office
Morfis said Hypetap’s data and technology focus was what drew him to the company.

“The industry is changing. Brands are becoming more discerning as there is an increased emphasis on brand safety and transparency of data. When selecting partners, brands are looking for providers that can deliver in these two areas. Hypetap is leading the industry in these aspects and I’m looking forward to being a part of it,” Morfis said in a statement.
The appointment comes after Hypetap hired Unruly’s Nick Robson to become its commercial director.
“It’s an exciting time for Hypetap. We’re growing incredibly fast, we’re partnering with many of Australia’s biggest brands and agencies and we’re hiring some of the country’s strongest talent in influencer marketing,” Detch Singh, co-founder and co-CEO at Hypetap, added.
