Hypnosis launches new campaign for the Republic of Fremantle
Hypnosis has launched a ‘Visit the Republic of Fremantle’ campaign for the Republic of Fremantle distillery.
The announcement:
“Visit the Republic of Fremantle” is the deliciously-intriguing campaign for award-winning distillery Republic of Fremantle, care of upstart agency Hypnosis.
The work puts a contemporary twist on traditional tourism campaigns – think mind-bending visuals, immersive soundscapes and an invitation to distil your very own gin.
In a category crowded with desperately cool creative, this campaign connects and cuts through – inviting “holiday makers” to make the trip to the iconic port city’s craftiest distillery. The distillery itself is already a proven crowd pleaser, named best bar in the 2023 Good Food Guide.
A new restaurant, hands-on distilling experiences and an in-house postbox and postcards for tourists to write home are helping make the distillery a destination. A nimble and highly-collaborative production has brought the integrated campaign to life on social, OOH, radio, digital and on premise.
Hypnosis partnered with some lauded locals on the work: Leading commercial photographer and local icon Simon Westlake shot the campaign in and around Fremantle; And production design is by Kylie Clifford – who began her creative journey designing clothes to sell throughout Fremantle.
Hypnosis founders Guy Patrick and Amber Martin also drew on their extensive experience to create the campaign, having made many a trip to the drinking dens of Fremantle as spotty teens.
