IAB announces new director of regulatory affairs

The Interactive Australian Bureau (IAB) has appointed Kamani Krishnan as director of regulatory affairs.

Krishnan said: “I look forward to playing a role in supporting and collaborating with IAB members’”

Prior to joining IAB Krishnan was a policy and government relations manager for Grain Growers Limited in 2012 for two years, followed by a senior policy adviser at Property Council from 2015 to 2016.

Most recently Krishnan ended her eight month stint working as a legal advisor for the Elections Office (NSW).

“In a time of rapid growth and evolution across the digital industry, I look forward to playing a role in supporting and collaborating with IAB members’ – advertisers, publishers, agencies and tech vendors – across a range of policy and regulatory issues,” she said.

The role will see her front the policy and regulatory issues the digital advertising industry faces.

Vojay Solanki, CEO of IAB Australia, said: “Kamani has that unique combination of being grounded in law, adept with councils and a voracious passion for knowledge. Her in-depth insights into policy construction will help support the future of the digital advertising industry.”

The role was created in 2012 with Samantha Yorke filling the position until 2014.
