IAB Australia launches new resource centre and opens new membership category

Industry body, the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Australia has announced a new digital resource center for members and launched a new membership category.

The announcement:

29th November 2012: IAB Australia has launched a new membership category today, introducing IAB Associate Membership which is open to companies that sell any form of interactive advertising or whose business supports the sale of interactive advertising and marketing. The announcement comes as IAB Australia launches its new digital resource centre for the online industry, now live at www.iabaustralia.com.au.

The industry portal offers a range of new functionalities for members aimed to make it more streamlined and user-friendly. Members will be able to renew their membership online, manage their own dedicated page on the website, upload their press releases, share their job ads and apply to sit on a Council. They will also have unparalleled access to over 350 resources, including 80 exclusive Australian case studies on award winning campaigns, research and an extensive glossary of 600 industry terms compiled from overseas IABs and the Council work.

According to Paul Fisher, CEO of IAB Australia, the decision to establish the new membership category and create a new resource centre arose in response to the industry’s changing needs.

“IAB Australia is dedicated to providing greater choice and the necessary resources and community platforms to continue to support the industry. A lot of time and thought has gone into the development and revamp of the new resource centre and we are proud and excited for the industry to start using it. We will continue to develop our resources based on the feedback from the community and look forward to receiving the initial response,” said Fisher.

IAB Associate Membership is open to companies that sell any form of interactive advertising or whose business supports the sale of interactive advertising and marketing. Members will receive unrestricted access to all research reports and case studies on the IAB website, access to the executive summary of the IAB/ PricewaterhouseCoopers Online Advertising Expenditure Report and many other benefits including preferential rates to IAB events.

This new category joins three existing categories including IAB General, IAB Honorary and IAB Report Subscriber memberships. The full descriptions and eligibility criteria for the range of different membership categories as well as their associated benefits and costs can be found on the new website.
