Ian Hogg moves to CEO FremantleMedia Asia Pacific

CEO of FremantleMedia Australia, Ian Hogg has been promoted to CEO of the Asia Pacific region, a newly created position.

Hogg will remain responsible for overall management and business performance for Australia as well as Asia, continuing to work out of the Sydney office, where he has been CEO of Australia since September 2009.

Hogg said in a statement, “I’m very much looking forward to working closely with our great teams in all of our Asia Pacific offices and helping to grow FremantleMedia’s market leading business. I have a deep affinity for the Asian region and the rich cultural diversity of its people and the territories within it. It is an incredibly dynamic part of the world with a very strong appetite for innovative television programming and I am very excited to be re-engaging with it.”

Hogg has worked for 25 years within the television industry across both networks and independent companies and for the last ten years working within Asia. In 2001 Hogg moved to Singapore, working as CEO of World Sport Televisio, sports marketing and rights management company, before creating Theatre Red, a television production, distribution and internet company in 2003. He sold the company in 2008, returning to Australia to consult on Prime Media Group as well as acting Managing Director, Asia Pacific MGM Worldwide Television.
