Innocean makes five new hires to boost full-service offering, nabs talent from leading agencies

Innocean Australia has announced several new hires, nabbing talent from DDB Australia, Verve, Carat and TBWA.

In a bid to enhance the agency’s full-service capabilities and growth plans, the new creative, strategic, content production and media appointments aim to provide clients with a more holistic offering.

DDB Australia’s Nick Cole and Pat Allenby join the agency as creative directors to lead the Kia business. The creative duo have over ten years experience, previously working at The Royals, Special Group, and more. The pair first worked together at Y&R between 2016 and 2018.

They will work under Wesley Hawes, executive creative director, who is excited to welcome them to the team.

“We’ve promised them the chance to grow, a plethora of creative opportunities, and the chance to lead one of the most iconic brands in Australia,” he said.

“We’re all expecting big things, but I know Nick and Pat will more than live up to the hype and continue where the Kia ‘Tasman’ Ute campaign left off.”

Cole and Allenby said: “From the design of the cars to their rebrand and advertising, Kia has had our attention for a while – so when given the opportunity to lead the creative part of the account, our decision was easy.

“We’re very excited to join the team at Innocean and build upon the wonderful work that’s been done to date.”

Also joining the agency, as director of insights and brand experience, is Verve’s Mirjam Grari.

She will lead insights and brand strategy across all the agency’s clients, using her deep passion for culture, trends and people. Her previous experience has seen her work with leading brands including ABSOLUT Vodka, Volvo, Colgate-Palmolive, RM Williams, Afterpay, and more.

Innocean has also welcomed Carat’s Audrey Fitte-Umark as its new media client director. She brings over a decade of experience spanning audience analysis, insights and strategy, and communications planning.

Finally, TBWA and Eleven’s Josh Bisset joins the agency as digital content creator. He will use his capabilities across photography, videography, and graphic design, to boost Innocean’s content offering.

“As the lines between media and creative continue to blur, it’s more important than ever for agencies like ours to embrace a truly collaborative approach to client challenges,” said Innocean’s chief strategist, Giorgia Butler.

“Now, with the right mix of skills in house, we’re bringing strategy, channel planning and creative development into one cohesive process that underpins Innocean’s commitment to delivering bold, impactful and effective solutions; in other words, work that works.

“These pivotal appointments will be instrumental in enhancing our end-to-end capabilities and expanding our media offering at Innocean.”

All of the appointments are effective immediately.
