Peak body introduces Top 25 Analytics Leaders

IAPA recognises the role analytics leaders play in Australian organisations

IAPA, the peak body for analytics professionals in Australia, today announced the IAPA Top 25 Analytics Leaders is now open for nominations.

IAPA, the Institute of Analytics Professionals of Australia, is the professional organisation for the analytics industry in Australia, incorporating business analytics and data mining across multiple disciplines and sectors.

“While analytics matures and expands into every business, there is no industry recognition of the profession’s best and brightest leaders – until now,” said Annette Slunjski, General Manager of IAPA.

“Analytics leaders not only ensure the analytics team deliver value to the business, they champion analytics and insight-driven decision making with the c-suite. The best leaders also mentor junior talent to assist their team’s career progression.”

The IAPA Top 25 Analytics Leaders will be judged by a panel of leading analytics and business leaders and recognise excellence in strategy and impact; influence and advocacy; innovation and improvement; and team growth and leadership.

In a market with scarce analytics talent, it can be difficult to find analytics professionals with the appropriate skills for leadership positions; positions that require interaction with c-suite, support for junior talent, ensuring analytics output and embedding innovation in analytics practice.

“Hudson are proud to support the IAPA Top 25 Analytics Leaders and recognise the vital role of analytics professionals in modern business,” said Dean Davidson, Executive General Manager, Recruitment Australia and New Zealand at Hudson.

“As a specialist recruitment firm active in the analytics community, we know both the brilliance of analytics professionals and the huge impact they can deliver to organisations. Boosting the awareness and acceptance of analytics as a mandatory lever for business is purely win-win!”

“Analytics leaders are the linchpin to the successful delivery of business value from analytics. It’s time they were recognised for their leading-edge role,” stated Slunjski.

Nomination forms and further information is available from the IAPA website at www.iapa.org.au.
