Internet expert Jeffery Cole to speak at Circus
US digital media heavyweight Jeffery Cole has been announced as a speaker at the Circus creative festival in Sydney later this month

Jeffrey Cole, Director of the Centre for the Digital Future at the University of Southern California (USC) Annenberg School will headline the programme at ‘Circus’, the inaugural festival of commercial creativity, the Australian Writers and Art Directors’ Association, AWARD, confirmed today.
Dr Cole is a world authority on media and communications technology and their profound impact on our attitudes and behaviour.
He founded the World Internet Project, which has gathered 10 years of data on Internet users in 25 countries. His insights shed light on the ways in which our social, economic and media lives are evolving, and are in demand by both governments and leading global companies, including Microsoft, Ericsson, Sony, Time Warner, and AT&T.
“As the forces of media, entertainment and technology converge, businesses and the creative industries face unprecedented change and opportunity,” said AWARD Chairman Craig Davis.
“The foresight and clarity that Jeff brings to this discussion is rare and invaluable. His address is not to be missed.”
Dr Cole will speak on Day One (Wednesday 23 February) of the three-day programme at Circus, Carriageworks, Sydney, heading a line-up of speakers that includes Jose Cabaco, Global Brand Creative Director NIKE, Marvin Chow, Marketing Director Asia Pacific & Japan, Google, and leading US marketing strategist Josh Spear.
