Invocare appoints Starcom
Invocare has appointed Starcom to handle its planning and buying account.
The anouncement:
Starcom has been appointed by the Australian publicly listed funeral industry leader InvoCare as its media agency partner.
Funeral brands under the InvoCare banner include White Lady, Simplicity, Guardian, Le Pine, George Hartnett, Blackwell and Purslowe.
Starcom will handle all communication planning and buying for InvoCare. The business will operate under Starcom’s national service model, utilising centralised national planning and negotiations with local implementation by teams across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
“The planning and research tools that Starcom possesses for both mainstream and digital media will allow us to keenly and quickly assess the value of our brand campaigns,” InvoCare General Manager, Marketing and Communications Ian McKenzie said.
“Furthermore Starcom has offices in the states that we manage both our national and regional funeral brands from. This will give us the best ability to leverage national media strategies regionally.”

Starcom’s appointment is effective June 1st, 2010.
This account win comes hot on the heels of Starcom’s recent appointment by Metcash and Mitre 10.
