ISelect enlists Beau Ryan and his pet chicken in social media campaign
ISelect has recruited retired professional rugby league footballer Beau Ryan and his pet chicken Lemon in its latest social media campaign.
Created by media agency Maxus and influencer marketing agency HooZu, the social media campaign promotes iSelect’s new Nest range of home surveillance cameras and security products by assisting Ryan in catching whatever is “spooking” Lemon in the backyard.
The two-minute social media film chronicles Ryan trying to catch whatever is spooking Lemon the chicken with iSelect’s Nest cameras.
Ryan shows the features of the home surveillance products including watching his backyard from an app, getting notifications from the app and being notified when the smoke alarm goes off.
The short video also features a cameo by Cronulla Sharks star Chris Heighington.
Mark Graham, head of content at HooZu Productions, said in a statement: “The script is very off-the-wall, but it was perfect for Beau. All the separate elements worked really well together, and it was hugely popular with his social media audience.”
Shivani Maharaj, head of innovation, content and partnership at Maxus, said: “We wanted to use high-profile yet relatable influencers that could showcase the innovative and thoughtful Nest technology in everyday moments going beyond the product features to demonstrate its practical uses. Beau was able to bring this to life in a comical and engaging way.”
Good to see this racist unfunny bogan getting some more work via a company wanting to appeal to other bogans

I guess no one told him that hens are female. Beau keeps referring to Lemon as a “he”. What this guy needs is a cock in his life, not a hen.
