iSelect promises Gold Coast Titans free ticket if they don’t win
Jetstar Gold Coast Titans sponsor iSelect is behind a ticketing initiative that will offer fans a free ticket if the team doesn’t win its next home game against Storm.
The brand claims this is a sporting world first.
The promotion, a one-off for this weekend’s match, is open to only fans who have paid for a ticket in the general seating bowl to this Saturday’s home match.
The idea was the brainchild of iSelect marketing chief David May, who said more support was needed in the stands to start the 2012 season.
He said: “We’re excited about the Titans. They had a great off-season, a fantastic win against the Cowboys, and we’re now looking forward to a win against the Storm. The iSelect Home Win Guarantee is about us working with the Gold Coast community and backing the Titans to beat the Storm. We might be from Melbourne, but we’re backing the Titans to win.”
Jetstar Titans Managing Director Michael Searle added: “We understand that some fans simply cannot afford to go to the football on a regular basis so hopefully an offer like this will encourage them to do so because they will either be celebrating a win or coming back again in two weeks time.”

I like it! It’s fresh, brings attention to the sponsor and helps the club. It’s not just a bit of signage and patch on the jersey. Good integrated campaign and everyone no matter the result ends up happy. Note: Although my company has done work for the NRL I have never worked with or met anyone from either organisation. Just thought I should add that in case…..

Crazy – Why sponsor a regional team and cut ads for big bucks $$$$$$$ that can’t be run nationally. Just have to ask – why?
