‘It’s a perfect brand for us’: We Are Different wins JAC Motors pitch

Global automotive manufacturer JAC Motors has appointed We Are Different as its exclusive earned, social and influencer agency partner in Australia, Mumbrella can reveal.

Following a competitive pitch process, We Are Different was awarded for its earned-first creative thinking and ability to deliver integrated work across trusted reach channels.

Stuart Terry, founder and director at We Are Different, told Mumbrella: “It’s a massive win for the team and one that we’re all really excited by. We have a few rev heads in the office who are pumped to be working with an auto disruptor like JAC.

“It’s a perfect brand for us and fits nicely into our consumer brand portfolio.”

The agency has been tasked with introducing the brand to the Australian market, including the launch of its first-ever Australian-delivered passenger vehicle.

“While JAC has a strong global growth rate of +18.4% across 132 countries, we know cracking the Australian market relies on the ability of our team and agency partners to deliver exceptional brand and product marketing that resonates with a ute-loving audience,” said Danny Lenartic, deputy managing director at JAC Motors.

The agency recently launched work with hipages, creating the world’s first ‘Tradie Pie’ in collaboration with Harry’s Café de Wheels. It also recently announced its ‘Creator in Residence’ program, which addresses the need for greater collaboration between brands and talent, in order to develop more authentic, channel-first creator content.

At last month’s Mumbrella CommsCon, We Are Different took home Best Use of Owned Media and was highly commended for Launch or Relaunch Campaign of the Year.

JAC Motors joins the agency’s growing client roster, which also includes Brown-Forman, Poise, Kimberly-Clark, Big Red Group, and more.
