Ivan Curic joins Ignite Media Brands as national sales director

Network Ten’s former Sydney sales director Ivan Curic has joined Ignite Media to run the pay-TV network’s national sales operation.

Curic, who left Ten after a six-year spell in May, replaces Sharb Farjami, who left Ignite to join Mindshare as national trading director in July.

“Ivan’s experience across creative selling, media trading negotiations and understanding the sales strategy required for multi channels positions him perfectly to lead our team of creative sales people,” said Brian Gallagher, Ignite’s CEO.

Ignite, which sells on behalf of TV1, Sci-Fi, MTV, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and CNBC, restructured its sales team in February this year, with the promotion of Melissa Fein to run the Sydney and Brisbane sales teams and a new focus on business development.

Ignite Media Brands was the name given to the entity formed from the merger of Full Circle and MTV’s advertising operations in May last year.
