Jacobson to host AFI Awards
Actor Shane Jacobson will be the host of this year’s AFI Awards in December, when the event will say goodbye to Melbourne to relocate to Sydney next year.
“The Victorian Government is extremely proud that Melbourne has been the home of the AFI Awards for the past 10 years, and the magnificent Regent Theatre is a fitting venue for this exceptional event,” said Victorian Minister for Innovation Gavin Jennings.
The Industry Awards will be presented on December 10, while the main Awards Ceremony will be held on December 11 and broadcast that same night on Nine. Both nights will be produced by Dainty Consolidated Entertainment.
The full list of nominees will be announced in Sydney on October 27.
