Jennifer Hawkins is the face of Mount Franklin Lightly Sparkling
Coca-Cola has announced Jennifer Hawkins as the new brand ambassador for water brand Mount Franklin Lightly Sparkling.
The 2004 Miss Universe winner was chosen for her “natural synergies” with the brand.
McCann Sydney is the agency behind the campaign, and is scheduled to film a TV spot in February starring Hawkins, who will also appear in print, outdoor and through online executions from March.
Belinda Brennan, head of Coca-Cola Amatil brands said: “We’re thrilled to have Jennifer on board and we’re looking forward to working with her on a number of exciting projects this year. She encapsulates all the attributes that ‘Mount Franklin’ Lightly Sparkling stands for – proudly Australian, positive, and vibrant.”
Hawkins said in a press release: “Hydration is such an important part of my beauty regime and I just love the taste of ‘Mount Franklin’ Lightly Sparkling. It is a great natural and healthy beverage option.”

I’ve been saying for ages that Jennifer Hawkins needs more exposure. The only other obvious choice was Sarah Murdoch who also needs to do more commercial endorsements. I look forward to trying Myer Hawkins Water.

Is this sexualising fizzy water?
Where will it end?

oh god, a little bit of sick just came up in my mouth. celebrity endorsements like this have to be the most shallow, transparent and embarrassing parts of the industry

I think Jen is more “fully” than “lightly” sparkling……the sponsorship makes sense though, how else are corporates expected to be able to spend time with celebs and have them at various functions/events?

Jen loves a drink! Started life as a Pepsi Max promo chick….then was the face of Pepsi….and now lightly sparkles.

Still going to drink tap water!
Not even Jennifer can convince me to spend a fortune on water I own being sold back to me in a plastic bottle.

your point @virtuous made me ponder the potential career path of a former cheerleader…..play your cards right like Jen and you end up with Myer and Mount Franklin, take a wrong turn and you end up as SummerNats ambassador and promoting Jim Beam.
all that’s in it is a couple of tatts and a boob job

Is “natural synergies” the new Ad-speak for hotness?
Why can’t marketers be honest and stop beating around the bush with this rubbish justification?
“Encapsulates the values of Mount Franklin”…????
What – she has a blue screwcap on her head?
Try this:
“Jen is hot. Hot sells. That’s why we hired her.”
Simple – and they’d win points for candour.

I would have held off announcing this until the campaign came out. More bang.
But now I know why my 600ml bottle of water costs more than petrol. Jen, I hope they’re paying you well.

Why is bottled water in this country so freaking expensive? Is it cause we’re all chumps happy to pay $4 for a (tiny) bottle of sparkling water? I love sparkling mineral water, even Mt Franklin is pretty good, but this bottle is even smaller than the non-sparkling one and it costs more
In Europe or the US you can buy a cold bottle of water for less than $1.

I know I always refer to water as “great natural and healthy beverage option”

At $2 for 600ml (more like $4) it’s more expensive than petrol. The price of essentials in this country is ridiculous, and I would include non-flourinated-chlorinated-ebolanated water in that essential list.
Once this Eurozone shit’s over I know where I’m headed.
