Jennifer Shambroom takes CMO role at workforce startup, Deputy

Sydney-based workforce management software company Deputy has appointed Jennifer Shambroom as global chief marketing officer.

Shambroon joins Deputy with 18 years experience with tech firms

Shambroom replaced Luke Targett who left Deputy last December to head marketing at insurance start up Cover Genius.

In her new role, Shambroom will be based out of the company’s San Francisco to lead Deputy’s expansion into Silicon Valley.

“Her experience leading teams across several high growth technology companies like Lookout, Motricity, Payfone, Crittercism and YouAppi put her in good stead to build and lead a high-performance global marketing department at Deputy.

“Jennifer will lead our marketing and public relations teams across Sydney, Atlanta, and London and lead our efforts of building out a new office and team in Silicon Valley. I could not be more excited to have Jennifer on board for this next part of our journey.

The appointment is the latest senior hire for Deputy, as the Australian business ramps up growth following its Australian a Series B funding round in November 2018 that raised $111 million.
