Jo Millington joins Khemistry as GM, Susan Lyons becomes MD

Behaviour change creative agency, Khemistry has appointed Jo Millington to the role of general manager, with Susan Lyons becoming the managing director.

Khemistry specialises in innovative behaviour change campaigns, content and digital platforms for businesses and government.

Jo’s appointment indicates Khemistry’s growth and momentum as it continues to capture notable Australian creative industry talent. Her appointment follows the recent recruitment of Kelly Brightwell as strategy director and Brent Liebenberg’s appointment as executive creative director in mid-2021.

Jo is an experienced advertising and marketing professional having spent more than 20 years leading brand strategy and development of global brands across categories that include higher education, travel and tourism, lotteries, pharmaceutical and retail.

Jo was previously with VMLY&R as client service director before joining Khemistry, and also held roles with Publicis Australia and Griffith University as head of brand. Khemistry managing director, Susan Lyons, recognised Jo’s ‘ability to understand people and build partnerships with clients and her team’.

“Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of working with Jo will say that you couldn’t ask for a more influential and inspirational person to have on your team,” said Lyons.

“It was clear to me from the moment we met that Jo is the sort of person that you instantly trust. She listens intently, answers honestly and genuinely cares about the outcome. I don’t think I could have found a better person to partner with our clients and to inspire our team.”

“I’ve always believed growth comes from working with fiercely talented and good folk. Susan and her team at Khemistry are just that. I look forward to diving in on all fronts,” said Millington.
