Joanne Liddell joins PHD as content lead

Joanne Liddell, the former head of OMD’s branded content division Fuse, has returned to Omnicom Media Group as PHD’s head of content, social and diverse.

Liddell replaces Angela Rapley, who worked as director of content at PHD for five years. Rapley is now working under contract for Omnicom Media Group as head of marketing, special projects.

In her new role, Liddell will handle PHD’s content and social capabilities nationally, and will report directly into Lucy Formosa Morgan, PHD’s chief investment officer.

Liddell worked in a number of roles outside of Omnicom Media Group, including group managing director of experiential agency Rinsed, project director at The Works and as clients services director at a number of agencies.

At the same time, Christian Heath, communications director for content, partnerships and events has been promoted to content and partnerships director, reporting directly into Liddell.

PHD Content will also look to expand in Melbourne, with Jack Monro, Unilever’s planning manager moving to Melbourne to assume the role of senior content and partnerships manager.

Liddell said she was excited to join an “energetic and driven team”.

“We will continue to push boundaries and challenge the status quo,” Liddell said.

Formosa Morgan added: “We are thrilled to have Jo join the PHD team, her record of driving innovative work and strong leadership style will see the team move from strength to strength and I am confident we will see consistent smart and strategic work coming from the team.”

PHD’s clients include Carlton and United Breweries, ANZ, Unilever and Volkswagen.

Liddell’s appointment is effective immediately.
