Jon Bisset is new boss of PR association

Australia’s industry body for those in PR has a new boss – Jon Bisset, formerly CEO of the Council of Ageing for NSW.

He has been appointed as CEO of the Public Relations Institute of Australia following the departure of executive officer Cathy Baker in May.

Bisset’s career has been mainly as an administrator within the associations sector. He has held roles as the Deputy CEO of the Fundraising Institute Australia, GM of operations for Netball Australia and as the CEO of Australian Canoeing.

PRIA National President Tracy Jones said: “The PRIA has been through a period of reform and is in the process of expanding its offerings to members. Jon joins us at the perfect time to drive the organisation forward and meet the demands of PR professionals.”
