Julia Gillard fronts anti-bullying campaign
“The evil of bullying”
Prime Minister Julia Gillard is fronting a campaign to tackle bullying.
In a video produced for The Community Brave Foundation, Gillard said: “Bullying hurts too many young Australians, in some cases so badly they don’t see the point of continuing their lives. Bullying is a great tragedy, and a great moral wrong – but it’s also a phenomenon we can do something about”.
She’s the biggest bully of the lot. She lies to steal power so she can raise taxes and if we don’t pay up, they can arrest us. If we resist, they can haul us away? If we resist with force they can even kill us. Not to mention all the foreigners Gillard’s armies are killing overseas in the name of peace. If she’s not a bully I don’t know who is.
Although I am sure many people will find the irony in naming a member of the Greens such as Adam Bandt a minister, I think the ALP may have an issue with this…
Prue, it is obvious, you do not know who is a bully.
The essence of her comments is right on the money. As prime minister, she is well placed to deliver this much needed message, and I applaud her for doing it.
However, I do wish most sincerely, that someone would inform her that it is a very bad policy to attempt to act, given that the skill is not within her scope.
Someone in the entertainment industry once said of Margaret Thatcher, that he agreed with her as a politician, but found it impossible to vote for someone who always spoke to him as if his dog had just died.
Julia Gillard needs to learn that a serious statement of purpose, requires a serious factual tone, not an approximation of the vocal cadence of a saddened soul attempting to convert the world.
