JWT Melbourne poaches Rob Beamish from Mojo Melbourne
JWT Melbourne has poached Publicis Mojo Melbourne’s head of art Rob Beamish, appointing him as creative director.
Beamish will partner Jim Ritchie, who has been promoted to the same position.
The duo will work across all accounts, which include Ford, Kraft and Melbourne Writers Festival.
JWT Melbourne’s ECD Richard Muntz, said: “Rob is an excellent conceptual art director and a red hot craftsman to boot. His decision to join JWT is a real coup for the agency. I’m super confident Rob and Jim will prove to be an extraordinary partnership, although why they’re holding hands already is beyond me.”
Beamish has been awarded for his work for City of Melbourne, TVNZ, Yellow Pages NZ, Toyota Hilux, Boag’s Draught, Black & Decker and Scope at shows including Cannes, D&AD, AWARD, AXIS, MADC and IAB.
He has also been awarded as a screenwriter. His short film, Advantage was selected for the Sundance Film Festival in 2008.
Before Mojo, he was creative group head at Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland. He also had a spell at GPY&R.
Wow. They’ve already started looking like each other. Unless, of course, that’s Jim on the right.
