Kath & Kimderella due out in September
The long awaited feature film from the creative team behind the hit ABC series Kath and Kim is due for release in September.
Titled Kath & Kimderella, the film is written by Kath and Kim’s Jane Turner and Gina Riley, directed by Ted Emery and produced by Rick McKenna as well as Turner and Riley.
The film will also star old favourites, Glenn Robbins, Peter Rawsthorn and Magda Szubanski. Additional cast will be announced closer to release date.
Due for national release on September 6, the film will be distributed through Roadshow Films.
Filmed in Positano Italy as well as Melbourne, the plot sees the Fountain Lakes ladies go over seas and “end up being the centre of their very own fairytale,” the press release reads.
Also from the press release, Kath said: “I have been up to pussies bow working out what to wear for the Oscars next year, do I go ritzy or tizzy, indie,….” Kim said: “I was made for the wide screen and like Avatar I will be working blue.”
I keep hoping that one of Kel’s old navy beaus would make an appearance one day and threaten Kath and Kel’s beautiful union…..
