Kath & Kim tops entertainment programming; Seven wins night and TV ratings week

Seven’s Kath & Kim: Our Effluent Life reunion special topped entertainment programming on Sunday, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to a metro audience of 786,000 views and topped all three key advertising demos.

Next in entertainment, was Nine’s Lego Masters Bricksmas Special which drew in 561,000 metro viewers, followed by Australia’s Got Talent grand finale which aired to a metro audience of 541,000 views.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 13 November, Sunday’s episode Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.241 million viewers, including 29,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

The program with the biggest uplift was an episode of Significant Others on ABC with an uplift of 52% and had a total of 420,000 viewers overall, and a BVOD audience of 60,000 nationally.

Meanwhile, Seven came out in front for the week ending beat Nine in the week ending 19 November, with a network share of 29.2%, over Nine’s 28.5%, while the ABC finished the week with an 18.6% share, followed by Ten on 14.8%.

Seven also won the primary channel share for the week, with 20.2%, just beating out Nine’s 18.1%, while the top multi-channel for the week was 9Gem with 5.1% thanks to the T20 World Cup.

Looking again to Sunday’s overnights, ABC’s Death in Paradise repeat episode aired to 376,000 metro viewers, followed by ABC’s Insiders-AM with 234,000, then the net work’s Significant Others with 230,000 metro views.

Meanwhile, Seven News on Sunday won overall TV viewing with 871,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News on Sunday with 729,000 metro viewers. ABC News on Sunday brought in 526,000 metro views, and 60 Minutes brought in 391000.

As mentioned, Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 34.3% over Nine’s 28.1%, while the ABC had a share of 15.1%, and Ten took an 11.9% share.

Seven won the primary channel share, and as mentioned, the top-rating multi-channel on Sunday was 7mate with a share of  3.6%.
