Kayo Local partners with Toyota for new state & community sport offering

Foxtel Media has announced a new offering as part of its Kayo Sports app, with various local state sporting competitions across Australia added as part of Kayo Local.

Toyota Australia has joined as the primary partner of the new offering, which will see live and on-demand streams of rugby, AFL, cricket, field hockey, basketball and golf at the state level.

Toyota Australia will provide Kayo-branded HiLux vehicles to be present at local NSW and Victoria sporting events, to help transport players and merchandise.

Toyota is also set to sponsor Kayo’s coverage during Kayo Freebies broadcasts.

Sports nutrition brand Musashi has also signed on as a launch partner, with its products to be available as part of activations at community sports grounds.

Foxtel Media sport sales and partnerships director, Martin Medcraf, said: “Foxtel Media is excited to be partnering with great brands like Toyota and Musashi to shine a spotlight on these local state teams and competitions.

“More and more Australians are watching sport on Kayo… State and community sport is an integral part of Aussie life.

“It gives our communities several teams to rally behind, breeds healthy competition and is a chance for us to recognise the incredible sporting talent playing at this level.”

Competitions to be broadcast on Kayo Local include Queensland Rugby League, Intrust Super Cup, VFL, Women’s National Cricket League, Club Cricket Finals. Hockey One, National Junior Basketball Championships, pls the NSW and QLD golf opens.

As part of the launch of Kayo Local, Kayo is giving away 50 grants of $1,000 to Rugby League and AFL clubs in NSW and Victoria. Participating clubs also have chance to win one of ten Ultimate Kayo Days at their local ground.

Any local sports club in Australia is eligible to register for a Kayo supporters’ sticker and complimentary 12-month Kayo subscription.
