Keep Left appoints ex-News Corp journalist as content writer

Integrated PR and creative agency Keep Left has appointed former Herald Sun journalist Alanah Frost to its content marketing team as content writer.

The announcement:

Integrated PR and creative agency Keep Left has strengthened its editorial division with the appointment of former Herald Sun reporter Alanah Frost to the role of Content Writer.

Prior to joining Keep Left, Alanah spent five years working as a journalist at News Corp Australia, with her most recent position as property reporter.

In her new agency role Alanah will help steer Keep Left’s content marketing offering with a focus on editorial and long-form content, and work closely with the film and production team on other formats including podcasts and other content series.

During her time with News Corp, Alanah honed her craft writing across a diverse range of beats including health, the COVID-19 pandemic and property.  This breadth of experience makes her well suited to support Keep Left’s diverse content marketing client roster spanning property, finance, technology and the NFP sector.

Larissa Thorne, Director of Digital and Content with Keep Left said, “Alanah’s a seasoned journalist who brings creativity, wit and polish to the editorial team at Keep Left.

“We love having people with newsroom experience on the team and Alanah hasn’t disappointed in terms of her laser sharp ability to spot the angle and craft a narrative that the audience will choose to engage with.”

Alanah added: “Stepping away from the newsroom I wanted to challenge myself to learn new skills in an agency setting, further expanding my writing and creative thinking abilities while working with high-calibre brands.

“I choose Keep Left because the agency values quality work above all else – the content we produce on behalf of brands needs to be on par with what comes out of a newsroom. I’m excited to be helping the team drive these standards, drawing on my journalism background to further shape the agency’s content marketing offering.”

Other new starters at Keep Left include Paige McLaren who has joined as Integrated Agency Producer from Bastion.  Previously at Thrive, Olivia Turnbull has also bolstered the PR team in Melbourne as Account Manager hitting the ground running on a mix of corpsumer and not-for-profit clients.
