Key Pharmaceuticals names Hatched as full-service agency partner

After a competitive pitch, Hatched has been chosen to handle strategy, planning, and buying duties for Key Pharmaceuticals’ portfolio, including Blistex, TravaCalm and Ostevit-D.

The announcement:

Following a competitive pitch process, Key Pharmaceuticals has selected Hatched as its full-service agency partner for strategy, planning and buying duties.

Established in 1985, Key Pharmaceuticals has grown from its Sydney origins to become one of Australia’s leading pharmaceutical companies, specialising in over-the-counter consumer products. Hatched will deliver brand and retail campaigns across the full customer journey for an established portfolio of brands including Blistex, TravaCalm and Ostevit-D.

Key Pharmaceuticals’ director of marketing and innovation, Nick Boyden said, “Partnering with Hatched has been an incredibly positive experience. The strategic thinking and holistic approach they took during the pitch process exceeded our expectations, bringing fresh, out-of-the-box recommendations that have a real impact. The team’s energy, professionalism, and collaboration have made them a joy to work with.”

For Hatched, the Key Pharmaceuticals portfolio is an opportunity to apply its strategic retail expertise to guide the business as it meets the demands of the competitive pharmacy and grocery categories.

Hatched managing partner and head of strategy Danni Dimitri said: “The Key Pharmaceuticals team were a pleasure to be in the same room with, from the moment we were engaged. With so many exciting number one brands within their portfolio, there are endless opportunities to collaboratively work through. We can’t wait to create ambitious, results-driven work with Nick and the team.”

Hatched Sydney opened its doors three years ago with a model that offers owned-out communications planning, digital and influencer services, and media buying. Key Pharmaceuticals joins the Sydney team’s client roster, which already includes The GPT Group, Jack Links, Who Gives a Crap, Swaggle and Klook.
