Khemistry tips first executive strategy director Susan Lyons as ‘future leader’ of wider business

Publicis Worldwide’s executive strategy chief Susan Lyons has left the agency after three years to take a senior leadership role at Khemistry, and is being tipped as a future leader by parent company GrowthOps.

Lyons will become the creative agency’s first executive strategy director, a role she held at Publicis Worldwide* since January 2020. Publicis Worldwide is part of Publics Groupe Australia.

The appointment comes three months after Brent Liebenberg became Khemistry’s first executive creative director.

Khemistry general manager and co-founder, Andy Fyffe, said Lyons’s blue chip retail and B2B brand experience will complement its strength in social marketing and behaviour change strategy for public sector and non-profit clients.

“Susan has worked at senior levels in agency, consulting and client side roles and her enterprise level customer experience strategy and data driven marketing expertise is a gift for business problem solving,” Fyffe said.

Lyons was heralded with helping to turn around the fortunes of CHE Proximity, Fyffe added, an experience that gives her the “rare ability to help integrate our in-house research, technology, digital marketing, content, and creative capabilities”.

“Susan has an intuitive understanding of the evolution of client needs and how to shape an agency value proposition to match,” he said.

GrowthOps chief executive Clint Cooper tipped Lyons for further success.

“Susan is clearly a significant future leader for the wider GrowthOps business and very well equipped to help foster the group’s momentum as a leading growth experience partner,” he said. “I’m delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Lyons held senior roles at CHE Proximity, PwC and Clemenger BBDO prior to joining Publicis Groupe.
