Kite Communications appoints Nicole Schulz as general manager

Sefiani Communications Group’s consumer and digital agency, Kite Communications, has appointed Nicole Schulz as its general manager.

Schulz takes over from Lori Susko, who became managing partner of PR and social at 303 Mullen Lowe in February.

Schulz joins from Hausmann where she spent five years as a business director. Prior to that she was a senior account director at Open Haus for five years.

Schulz said of her appointment: “I’m delighted to begin the next chapter of my career with Kite and I’m looking forward to working with a great team and a diverse range of clients. I am passionate about developing and executing brand strategies with long-term impact and can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Also joining Kite Communications is Rebecca Angus in the role of digital strategist.

Previously, Angus spent nine years as the Asia Pacific digital manager of Reader’s Digest. Since 2014 she was the director and strategist of her own agency Creative Block Solutions.

Angus said in a statement: “I’m excited to be joining the agency, partnering with the incredibly experienced and talented team to help drive integrated digital solutions for clients across the corporate, consumer, government and NFP spectrum.”

Julia Hoy has joined Kite as senior communications consultant after returning to Australia from 10 years in London. In her new role, Hoy will be consulting clients and leading Sefiani’s professional development program.

She has formerly held positions at Unilever, Salt PR and Frank PR, and was the director of Hoy Communications in London.  Previously, Hoy spent four years at Sefiani Communications as an account director.

Kite Communications has also announced the addition of Zenith Payments to its client list, supporting the launch of its new debit payment product.
