Knect Digital rebrands as Australian Digital and appoints Rafael Cantó as managing director

Digital marketing agency Knect Digital has revealed its rebrand to Australian Digital.

In a LinkedIn post, founder Steven Christison wrote the rebrand came as a result of the agency’s recent growth and that they had ‘had enough of having to spell Knect’.

Christison said in a statement: “We had experienced a lot of growth in the past few years and felt it was time for chapter 2. We like the simplicity of Australian Digital as a brand and how it portrays what we do.”

The agency has also announced that it has appointed Rafael Cantó as its managing director.

Cantó joins Australian Digital after spending just over four years Reprise Media. At Reprise Cantó worked in the digital solutions team eventually becoming the head of owned digital solutions, and leaving as the national head of owned and earned solutions.

“I feel privileged to join an agency with such a holistic approach to digital, especially in a landscape where big media agencies continue to struggle to avoid channel siloing. Instead of selling digital services, Australian Digital queries the client on their business needs and matches them to the digital solutions that are right for them,” said Cantó.

“Australian Digital’s mission statement ‘to make quality digital marketing accessible to Australian SMBs’ is something that really resonates with me and I am excited to get behind it. The number and quality of start-ups and entrepreneurships in this country is extraordinary and sometimes all they are missing to knock it out of the park is the right level of consultancy from their digital agency.”

Christison said: “Rafa brings with him a wealth of digital marketing expertise and a track record in improving internal processes and maximising client and staff satisfaction. He has been delivering best in class digital solutions to top brands in Australia for the past few years, and we look forward to what’s to come in 2019 and beyond.”
