KOBA Insurance appoints brand & communications director

Car insurance company KOBA Insurance has appointed Erica Lam as brand & communications director.

The announcement:

Erica Lam has joined KOBA Insurance as the Brand + Communications Director. KOBA Insurance is excited to officially welcome Erica Lam as their Brand + Communications Director, leading their brand, communications and marketing strategy as KOBA looks to launch in October.

Erica has returned home to Australia following 6 years abroad in London and San Francisco at award-winning branding firms, including Pablo London and Allis where she was Group Account Director and Head of Client Services respectively.

Having spent her career in large advertising and CX agencies focused on automotive brands such as Toyota, Nissan EU, Ateco Group and Volkswagen Group, Erica is excited to work with a start-up to launch a new brand and product to market.

“KOBA is a new car insurance company, and the only one in Australia, offering drivers connected pay-per-km insurance. With WFH and covid restrictions more or less part of our everyday life, it’s exciting to launch a product to give low-usage drivers a fair alternative to pay for what they use. We believe if people are driving less, you should pay less.” said Lam

KOBA is a new car insurance product where drivers ‘pay per km’ they drive. Due to launch in October this year, KOBA is currently running an EOI campaign with Birchal and opening up beta testing to a select group later this month.
