Kojo adds 2 more to its growing creative team

A week after announcing Jess Hill as head of Kojo Creative, production company Kojo has announced two more additions to its creative team.

Bim Ricketson has joined as group creative director, and Emma Gill has joined as creative director.

Bim Ricketson

Ricketson joins Kojo from event and experience agency George P Johnson Australia, where he was executive creative director ANZ. He joined George P Johnson in June 2018. Prior to that role, Ricketson was creative director at Imagination from April 2015 to April 2018.

On his appointment, Ricketson said: “With 20 years working on campaign and immersive experiences, opening ceremonies for major sporting events and with a family background in the film and the arts, I’m excited by Kojo’s storytelling-first approach, the breadth of capability and what Kojo offers clients and audiences.”

Kojo CEO Stephen Lord said: “Bim is an impressive transformational leader of creative talent and has delivered work across a wide variety of projects. On the back of strong growth across the business, we’re thrilled to welcome him to the team, where he’ll continue to build and evolve our creative offering.”

Emma Gill

Gill joins the production company from McCorkell & Associates, where she held the title of creative director. Gill has previously worked with Ricketson at George P Johnson, where she was creative director from April 2019 to September 2020.

Ricketson and Gill join the Sydney office. Both will work closely with Hill as well as Chantella Perera, head of Kojo Sport in Melbourne.
