Kopparberg Cider celebrates the uniqueness of its origins
A new campaign from Kopparberg Cider is giving Australian consumers a peek into life in the Swedish town of Kopparberg where the cider is produced.
The ads, created by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, provide a snapshot of the Swedish town and its locals, with the quotes taken from locals the production team met during the shooting of the campaign in Kopparberg.
Craig Maclean general manager – Cider at Carlton & United Breweries said in a statement: “We went to Kopparberg to shoot the ads with an idea of what we wanted to do, but meeting the locals really motivated us to capture the real unedited stories of Kopparberg.
“It’s fascinating – this remote town of 3,016 people is producing the number one cider worldwide. The stories told in our ads almost wrote themselves – they are all taken from real conversations we had with the town’s business owners and local characters.”
Ant Keogh, creative director Clemenger BBDO Melbourne said in a statement: “The town of Kopparberg is very idiosyncratic, full of stories, history and charm. We really wanted this to shine in the ads.”
The campaign is supported with a new website that allows consumers to connect with the town of Kopparberg further.

Surely that first execution could have done with a possessive apostrophe? Or is that part of its enigmatic charm?

Love the ads. But what’s with the lack of apostrophe on the first one?

That’s a bit disrespectful isn’t it? Like making fun of Kopparberg. That’s not a tourist bus btw. It’s just a normal bus and it does stop in Kopparberg lol. The lies..
