Jarthur Taylor has been appointed marketing director of KPMG after six months consulting to the firm on its marketing transformation.

Formerly the CEO at customer experience agency Datarati, Taylor has also held senior marketing roles at Telstra and IBM’s Global Business Services.

“We’re looking at driving differentiation and showing the value to the market KPMG can bring,” said Taylor

“I think it’s an exciting time for the professional services industry,” Taylor told Mumbrella about taking the role which will see him lead KPMG’s national marketing functions and serve on firm’s brand and engagement leadership team.

“We’re looking at driving differentiation and showing the value to the market KPMG can bring.”

Taylor left Datarati last year, just short of two years after joining as CEO. Prior to Datarati he was general manager of marketing at Telstra Business where he was responsible for the telco’s marketing to small and medium business customers.

Margaret Cowle, KPMG Australia’s national managing partner for brand and engagement and national managing partner, KPMG Strategy Consulting commented: “We are delighted to welcome Jarther to head up our renewed and reinvigorated marketing function. A seasoned and innovative marketer, Jarther has led transformation and CX initiatives both as a internal champion and as a consultant. His experiences helping organisations to deliver differentiating experiences across multiple channels will be a great asset as the firm continues to grow and we our brand, culture, data and technology to support our clients create value.”

Taylor added: “I’m excited to be part of the leadership team that will transform how KPMG goes to market through integrating brand, marketing and customer experience.

“KPMG is a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation that is working with clients to make an impact. Being part of that is thrilling.”
