Adelaide agency KWP! Advertising has dismantled its joint managing partner structure, with John Baker taking sole charge of the agency.

Baker and Sylvia Mason were appointed joint managing partners by KWP’s co-founders Pete Withy and Andrew Killey in 2008, but Mason has left the position and moves into a consultancy role, working on strategic direction and campaign planning.

Mason has been with the agency of 44 staff since it started 22 years ago, and will continue to work on clients including Yalumba, Health Partners and People’s Choice Credit Union.

Baker said in a press release: “Sylvia’s knowledge and expertise are invaluable to us and our clients so we are very pleased that she will be able to continue working alongside us.”

“The new management structure means we will be able to act nimbly and decisively, and our clients and staff have expressed great confidence in the decision,” he said.

KWP! is currently awaiting a decision on the South Australia Tourism Commission pitch, which was put out to tender in September last year. A result is expected next week.
